Abstrak

Artikel ini membahas protes sebagai praksis pneumatologis yang selama ini kurang mendapat tempat dalam teologi Kristen. Tinjauan terhadap dua pendekatan utama—protes kepada Allah dan protes kepada sesama—menunjukkan bahwa protes cenderung dipahami secara simbolik dan tidak menjadi praktik publik kekristenan. Penelitian-penelitian yang ada pun memperlihatkan bahwa protes oleh umat Kristiani terhadap pemerintah sering kali bersifat instrumental, bukan ekspresi iman yang integral. Artikel ini mengajukan argumen bahwa protes kepada institusi dapat dimaknai sebagai praksis eklesial yang disokong oleh Roh Kudus. Melalui pendekatan filosofis terhadap protes (Clayton Bohnet dan Sara Ahmed) dan karakteristik Roh Kudus menurut Third Article Theology (Myk Habets dan Gregory J. Liston), protes ditafsirkan sebagai tindakan pneumatologis yang berakar dalam liturgi gereja. Melalui protes, gereja hadir secara politis di ruang publik sebagai bentuk kesetiaan kepada karya Roh Kudus di tengah dunia yang menderita

Richardo Cinema, Gereja Kristus Yesus Kuta Bali

Richardo Cinema adalah seorang peneliti independen yang tinggal di Jimbaran (Bali). Ia telah menempuh pendidikan teologi di STT SAAT sebagai angkatan tahun 2014 (jenjang S1) dan 2020 (jenjang S2). Minat penelitiannya saat ini adalah teologi, gender, spasialitas, dan protes.
