Teopoetika: Sebuah Teologi yang Tidak Pantas

Abstrak

Artikel ini mengusulkan teopoetika sebagai alternatif bagi teologi. Pertama, artikel ini membahas perbedaan antara “teopoetika” dan “teopuisi” dengan menjelaskan aspek poetika (poiesis) yang tidak dimiliki oleh teopuisi. Teopuisi menggunakan bahasa teologis secara puitis dan metaforis, sedangkan teopoetika mengeksplorasi poiesis sebagai refleksi terhadap penciptaan makna atas theos yang menggantikan logos dalam teologi. Teopoetika bukanlah “teologi negatif.” Menurut John D. Caputo, teopoetika adalah teologi lemah dan radikal. Berbeda dengan teologi kuat yang aktif mencari episteme tertinggi, sebagai teologi lemah, teopoetika menonjolkan mode pasif dan reseptif. Sebagai teologi radikal, teopoetika menjadi semangat yang menghantui teologi konvensional, tidak tunduk pada institusi atau otoritas tertentu, dan menghantui hingga ke akar-akarnya (radix). Dengan mencabut akar logos dalam teologi, teopoetika muncul sebagai teologi-yang-tak-pantas-nan-unik.

Setelah menyelesaikan studi S.T.M. (Master of Sacred Theology) tahun 2017 selama satu tahun di bidang Teologi, Etika dan Filsafat di Boston University School of Theology, Massachusetts, Amerika Serikat, tahun 2018, August Corneles Tamawiwy menjadi vikaris dan ditahbis sebagai seorang Pendeta di Gereja Protestan di Indonesia bagian Barat (GPIB) pada tahun 2020 untuk melayani di beberapa pos pelayanan dan kesaksian (PelKes) GPIB Jemaat Hosiana Berau, Kalimantan Timur. Pada awal tahun 2023, ia diutus sebagai Dosen Tetap bidang Etika dan Teologi Konstruktif di Fakultas Teologi, Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana (UKDW), Yogyakarta. Ruang lingkup penelitian yang ia minati di antaranya adalah etika Kristen, transformasi konflik, teopoetik, teologi konstruktif, filsafat posmodern, dan imajinasi dan estetika.
