Menafsirkan Pengampunan Publik dalam 2 Korintus 2:5-11 dengan Metode Interkontekstual

Abstrak

Pengampunan publik memiliki peran penting dalam upaya mengurangi konflik. Dalam praktiknya, pengampunan yang dilakukan oleh kelompok atau komunitas sering kali menjadi objek diskursus yang beragam. Teks 2 Korintus 2:5-11 menyampaikan pesan tentang perlunya pengampunan dalam konteks publik. Teks tersebut berkaitan erat dengan hubungan dinamis antara Paulus, komunitas, dan individu yang dianggap bersalah. Paulus mengajukan tuntutan agar komunitas mengampuni orang yang telah melakukan kesalahan, mengikuti contoh pengampunan yang telah ia tunjukkan terhadap pelaku. Melalui metode interkontekstual, penelitian ini membahas konteks pengampunan publik dalam 2 Korintus 2:5-11 serta proses pengampunan yang terjadi dalam situasi pascakonflik di Maluku. Kedua konteks ini diperlakukan sebagai subjek yang secara bersama-sama memberikan sumbangan kreatif dalam menentukan makna dalam penelitian ini. Mempertimbangkan kedua konteks tersebut, studi ini mengelaborasi pengalaman pengampunan dua konteks secara bersamaan. Pada akhirnya, dari dua konteks tersebut, studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa pengampunan publik juga penting diperhatikan dalam upaya rekonsiliasi. Pengampunan tidak hanya terbatas pada dimensi kesalehan pribadi atau moral pribadi, melainkan juga menjadi sebuah nilai moral yang harus diimplementasikan oleh seluruh komunitas.
